REALTORS® must also take an approved Code of Ethics course every three years. All licensees whose licenses expire on or after July 1, 2021, are required to take 22.5 hours of CE credit including three hours of fair housing, one hour of agency (two hours in the first license cycle), two and a half hours of ethical business practices (includes NAR Code of Ethics training) and one hour of recent legal matters (may include statutes, laws, regulations, rules, codes, DOS opinions and decisions, and court decisions). Brokers who were previously exempt from earning CE credit will no longer be exempt when they renew their licenses after July 1, 2021.
This course satisfies the Fair Housing requirement.

About Our Instructors
After studying Economics at Hofstra University, Gus obtained a series 7 and series 63 licenses as a financial advisor. After 4 years as a professional money manager, Gus entered the mortgage lending industry to offer his skills of money management to consumers seeking financing for real estate. He continued to provide both services until 2005 where he decided to commit completely to mortgage lending. With more than 20 years of experience in the financial services sector, Gus has the experience and knowledge to assist in the many different areas of real estate finance from residential mortgages, commercial and construction financing, complex asset based collateralizations, and non-collateralized loans. As a seasoned financier with extensive knowledge and dedicated to customer service, Gus works hard to understand the needs and goals of each of his clients. He examines the situation from their eyes to ensure he is providing the best services available while educating them on the mortgage process with the end goal of a successful transaction and happy customer. Gus resides in Dix Hills, New York with his wife and their 5 children. His family is active in their church and the community. Gus’ love of sports and educating his children about them has led him to coaching many teams throughout the years.
